Virginia Davis "Ginny" (Chodorowski) Virginia "Ginny" (Chodorowski) Davis, 70, of Hebron, beloved wife for 42 years of Robert F. Davis, died Sunday (July 26, 2009) at Harrington Court, Colchester.
She was born in Brooklyn, NY, daughter of the late Zigmond and Caroline (Sokolowski) Chodorowski and had lived in Hartford for over 35 years before moving to Hebron eight years ago.
Ginny was a Para Professional at Kennelly School, Hartford for over 15 years as well as a former President of their P.T.A.
She was a charter member of The Women of the Moose, Hartford Chapter 2115, a longtime communicant of St. Lawrence O'Toole Church, and a day care provider at her home for 15 years.
Besides her husband she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Robert F. Davis, Jr. and Bonnie of Andover; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Beth Colletti and James of Hebron; four grandchildren, Joey and Dylan Colletti and Austin and Meghan Davis; a brother, Thomas Chodorowski and his wife Shirley of Florida and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Saturday, August 1, 9 a.m. from The Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Tpke. Wethersfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m. in St. Lawrence O'Toole Church, 494 New Britain Ave. Hartford. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Friends may call Friday, July 31, 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
